Velvet Flapper

My style has changed lately; I'm not really into the bright coloured outfits as much anymore, much preferring darker colours- usually black with a few deeper coloured accessories.
I'm not really sure what caused the change, but I'm really liking it.
Here's another of the darker looks featuring my Black Milk long sleeve velvet dress; a piece I was really glad to see re-released! I have quite a love for velvet pieces!
Also wearing my Flapper Hosiery- they remind me of mermaid scales :)

Velvet Leopard

Here is a piece I am very lucky to own. The Black Milk Leopard Bodysuit!
I had only ever seen the blog photoshoot images of this one, so I was really surprised when I went on eBay and saw this just listed, with a buy it now price of only $95!!
I quickly snapped it up. It took so long to arrive thanks to dodgy Australia Post that I thought it was lost, so glad it wasn't!
It's made of the same material as the Leopard Leggings, super soft and shiny :)
I paired it here with my black velvet skater skirt and black & gold accessories.

Go Go

I love the Burned Velvet fabric; when I saw this dress sneaked in a podcast over a year ago now it was an instant want!
Finally it was released as part of Black Milk's Game Of Thrones Collection.
As soon as it was released I snapped it up. I probably could have sized down for this one I think, but it still fits quite well.
I paired it with my Opening Ceremony heels and some giant statement earrings.

Wonder Gown

I recently scored this one-off Black Milk piece on eBay. Another version of the Villainess/Kapow dresses from the Batman Collection; maybe part of the second DC collection? Or perhaps one they decided against? Either way I'm really happy I won the auction as I loved all the other dresses from the collection!
It's a lighter shade of red than my Kapow and of course floor length, I have plans to wear this to an upcoming wedding :)

The Deepest Blue's Are Black

The last piece left to show from my BM Halloween haul.
The Deep Blue Evil Cheerleader.
I love the EC dresses, I have all of the ones ever released, so when these were on the list I got excited! They were originally limited, but I'm glad that changed!
Also available in Black and Mulled Wine and in the Skater cuts, I'm thinking of getting the Mulled Wine Skater to compare the difference and see which I prefer.
Such soft lovely fabric. I paired it with my Opening Ceremony heels, which also have the deep blue velvet on the lower half- it's hard to see in photos. Also a couple of vintage accessories with the clutch and belt/necklace :)
I had a lot of success in the Ammo release today, managing to get all 6 pieces I really wanted! Can't wait to get them in the mail and style them!

Denim Damsel

Something a little different from my usual outfits. A sophisticated top dressed down with casual jeans.
I wish I had bought more of the short lived Sophia James pieces, but I'm lucky to have the ones I do. This top; the Damsel is really nice, and especially great as it can be worn 2 way's being reversible.
Balenciaga accessories- with the bag and bracelet, one of many, I will have to do a collection shot soon :)

Wednesday

My last Halloween order arrived yesterday; Wednesday Dress and Blue Velvet EC Dress.
I tried them on and was really unsure of the Wednesday Dress, the tassels were all wonky and I just wasn't loving it.
After letting it hang overnight; the tassels have dropped a bit better now, so I thought I'd try to style it today.
I decided to wear the front tassels around the neck and draped over the back, an idea I saw a girl post on the BM group. I really prefer it like this rather than having all the tassels just hanging over the front (as seen in the last photo).
The dress is pretty tight, with not much stretch so maybe size up if your between sizes, however one good thing about being tight is no duck bum :)

Sheer Velvet

Cooler weather means the need for warmer clothes! I'm finding I'm not wearing my Black Milk dresses much, but I'm glad to have a few long sleeve ones now.
For this outfit, my Velvet Sheer Dress, I really love it, but Im not sure about the low sheer back, It is pretty, but more dressy than the normal Velvet Dress; which I think I would prefer.
I paired it with jewelled accessories and my velvet/leather Opening Ceremony Heels.

Nixie

This post goes to show how behind I am with posting! This was my Christmas Day outfit!
I wore my Sophia James Nixie Dress, which I love! It was probably a little too hot on the day but I survived ;)
I paired it with simple accessories to make the dress the stand out piece, it was a perfect festive dress, which everyone loved.
I would highly recommend buying one if you get the chance, definitely worth it!

Burnt Velvet

Heres something a little different from my usual style the Black Milk Burnt Velvet Maxi Dress.
Usually I go for shorter dresses, but I really loved the pattern of this one. Im still hoping Black Milk will make the Babydoll in this fabric again or another shorter dress.
I paired it with my Opening Ceremony heels- I think both combined have a kind of Gothic vibe, but I really like it :)

Solestruck Sale Purchases

So this is the aftermath of Solestruck's 100K Sale..
I ended up buying 7 pairs of shoes over 3 days.
4 Jeffrey Campbells, 1 Black Milk x Jeffrey Campbell, 1 UNIF and 1 Opening Ceremony.
At first I was planning on only getting the Rainbow Galaxy Back Offs, I was planning on buying them soon anyway. I bought them on the first day of the sale saving 20%.
The next day the sale increased to 30%, I actually didnt buy anything that day..trying to be good, I told myself that if the ones I want are still there tomorrow, then I'll get them ;)
This plan failed miserably; on the third day they were all still there, but hey I saved 40%!
I bought 3 pairs of shoes at the start of the 40% off day.
Then I saw Hellbounds would be included in the Power Hour, the only colour I still needed was grey, so I had to get them! Then to make it up to free shipping I *had* to add another pair..or two..whoops.
So here you have it; no money and 7 new pairs of shoes later!
Originally these would have cost me $2042, I got them all for $778!
..and now for some pretty pictures..
